Brutalism was never a European monopoly. This issue looks beyond London and Paris to the concrete monuments of Tokyo, Chandigarh, São Paulo, and Dhaka — places where brutalism adapted to different climates, cultures, and spiritual traditions. The material was the same. Everything else was different.
